Define matter and energy;
Differentiate between atoms, molecules and compounds;
Differentiate between inorganic and organic compounds;
Describe the main organic compounds;
Outline the function of enzymes.
Describe the main processes involved in metabolism;

Anything that occupies space and has mass (no matter
how little).
Exist either as solids, liquids or gases.
Matter can either be physically or chemically changed:
With physical changes the nature of the matter
remains the same (water to ice or steam is still water).
With chemical changes the nature of the matter
changes (food being broken down to different things)
