During this powerpoint presentation I will be explaining:
▪ User requirements and typical softw are job roles.
▪ Characteristics of common softw are testing methodologies
▪ Features of testing for different softw are development methodologies
I w ill also be discussing tw o case studies (1-Criminal Investigation Tracker w ith a susp
prediction and 2-Employee Attendance Tracker) using both w ith different softw are
development methodologies so that I can compare, evaluate and discuss the features o
the testing methodologies that the project w ill use.

Task 1 - Explain w hat is meant by User Requirements
▪ User requirements/specification are w ritten for clients and is often in natural langua
w ith no technical details. The reasoning for this, is so that clients and stakeholders
check that the system w ill do w hat it is intended to do. An example of a user
requirement in relation to softw are development w ould be, “The software must pro
a means of representing and accessing external files created by other tools”.
