Over-population occurs when human population increases faster than the available natural
resources. This leads to food shortage, housing problems, pollution, pressure on land, water and
forests, and destruction of ecosystems.

2. Man-made / Human / Cultural Environment – Includes buildings, roads, industries, farms and
dams.
