Gastrulation is the process by which a hollow ball of undifferentiated, pluripotent cells (blastula)
becomes a mulit layered structure continaing different types of cell that will eventually form the
different tissues of the body (gastrula)
Neurulation
Neurulation is the process in which the neural plate folds to form the neural tube which develops
into the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord). At this stage that gastrula becomes the
neurula.

The neural tube begins to fold and develops swellings which will form the different structures of the
brain and spinal cord
