Evaluate Interpersonal and Written Communication Techniques
Unit 1 – D1
There are various attributes, skills and attitudes that make good interpersonal
and written communication. Not everyone will have all of these as there are so
many but to have effective communication you need to possess as many as
possible. Everyone communicates in different ways using various methods.
Throughout this unit and other units, I have shown how I communicate. When
creating documents, I decide which software is the best to use for what I am
doing, for instance when I am writing an essay or report I would use Microsoft
Word, for a presentation I would use Microsoft PowerPoint, for a leaflet or
poster I would use Microsoft Publisher...etc.
Every time that I produce written communication, I check that my spelling and
grammar are correct and that what I have written makes sense. I also ensure
that I use appropriate appropriately organise my writing so that it is easy to
read and understand; for instance, appropriately paragraphing reports and
essays...etc.
Some attributes that I have shown that I have are technical knowledge as I
know how to use a variety of software and hardware. I have shown that I have
good work attitudes as I always get my work done; however, this could be
better with improved time keeping, punctuality and attendance.
I have also demonstrated that I have good organisational skills through the way
that I do organise my work and time. Also, to save my documents I have
organised them into appropriate folders. I have also shown that I can produce
good written communication as I have produced reports, essays...etc. I have
demonstrated that I have good numeracy skills in other units as I have had to
do calculations and, I have shown that I am creative as I have produced
designs, posters and leaflets...etc.
Furthermore, I have shown that I can be independent as I can work on my own
without help and get the work done. I have also demonstrated that I can see
alternative viewpoints of others. Additionally, I have shown that I can take
notes and identify relevance of the information that I find.
Additionally, I have demonstrated that I have adequate interpersonal
communication skills as I have produced and presented a presentation which
