Now that we have discussed relationships between ordinal and numeric variables, let’s have a look at the
case where we also have categorical variables.
Our question might then be whether the median values in the three populations are really
different. This can be assessed using the Kruskall-Wallis test. Similar to Spearman’s rs and Kendall’s τ ,
the data are transformed into ranks. This is done for all data at once, so for all students together.
