Analyse your contribution to the selection process in a given situation.
In this assignment I will be analyzing my contribution to the interview selection
process. I will be explaining what I did well in the interview process.
The intervieuw(s) as solicitant
The intervieuw I attended was a great success. This is because I had the right
answers to every question I was asked. However the answers I gave were very
short which lead to every intervieuw in which I was the solicitant was very
short, so this could be a point I could improve the next time. In the future I
could give a more detailed answer if I get asked a question like; Do you have
any experience in sales. A good point was that I was well prepared I didn’t need
any notes with me to answer any questions, because of this I was relaxed and
not worried about that the interviewer might ask a question I do not have an
answer to. For in the future I might also ask a few questions on my own about
the job in order to get a better image of the job I applied for. Another strong
point was that my English was good. The grammar and attitude I used during
the intervieuw was in my opinion good. So when coming into the intervieuw
area I gave both the CEO and Assistant a handshake, so this shows my good
attitude and I also didn`t get angry or upset when I was denied for the job.
The Intervieuw as CEO
I did the intervieuw as CEO well because, when the intervieuw started I
welcomed, gave the candidates a handshake and introduced myself and my
assistant. After that I asked a few questions to make them feel comfortable.
The questions which I asked were; was it easy to find? and would you like
something to drink? After comforting the candidates I went on and asked the
questions that were on my list. While I was doing the intervieuw I made sure
that I was maintaining eye contact and listening to the candidates there
answers full of consideration. I made sure that I was looking interested in what
the candidates had to say. I asked the questions slowly in order for the
candidates to hear it properly and understanding the questions. Some strong
points of me during the intervieuw as CEO were; that I was showing a good
attitude as well as that I was listening attentively to the answers the candidates
had for me. Some weak points of me during the intervieuw as CEO were; that I
was not asking more about the situation if a candidate have a short answer, so
