, EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This report Concerns a report “Integrale bedrijfsanalyse” for the company
ForFarmers. ForFarmers is an international company. It is a Dutch company that
was founded in 1896. ForFarmers is a company consisting of animal feed
factories and trading companies that supply farm animals to farmers in the
Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Poland and the United Kingdom.
The head office of ForFarmers is in Lochem in the Netherlands.
The company has acquired and sold several small and large companies over the
years. The most important companies they acquired were Hendrix in 2011 and
BOCM PAULS in 2012. These had the most effect on turnover and number of
employees.
An analysis of the industry in which ForFarmers operated is analyzed by students.
Porter’s five-force model, the company’s internal, external and potential
competition will be used. By using the model the intensity of competition can be
determined. The risk of substitution is low, on the other hand the power of
suppliers is quite high.
Once the internal and external analysis are done, there will be focused on the
business analysis. The perspective of the company will come to the attention.
Among other things like employee key numbers and the profit per share will be
discussed.
After the business analysis the sustainable development goals will be addressed.
ForFarmers tries to focus on the environment. An example is that they are trying
to reduce the emission.
The forecasting is another important subject. It will show what the students think
will happen with ForFarmers. In one of the sub-paragraphs the result of the
students will be compared to the results of professionals.
At last, there is a conclusion of the results. In the last part of this there will be an
investment advice. This advice is for the long and short term.
