Understanding Language

Why communicate with a machine in natural language?
Natural language is the most natural and inclusive interface for human interaction
o Children learn language and use this to communicate with others
It is a very efficient way of interacting with one another
It is obvious to have machines learn language
Robots (so far) are not very flexible
o By adding NLP, you add flexibility
Robots could then operate autonomously
Get much more clarity, machines that can explain why they do something
Opening a Black Box of AI
Difference between machine learning and deep learning:
Deep learning is originated from research on the brain (how input stimuli are processed)
With deep learning you have different layers, accordingly you have different regions of the brain in
which the stimuli passes through
Here are the different layers for facial recognition based on pixels (positioning and colors):
