Task 1 (P1 and P2).
In P1 you can read about the scale of the UK aviation industry and how it contributes to the UK
economy.
In this table you can see the 5 biggest airports of the UK. I will describe their MMPA and the
percentages of passengers from the airports: London Heathrow, London Gatwick, Manchester,
London Stansted, and London Luton.
Together, these airports already form 68% of the largest airports in England. These airports are
therefore very important when it comes to the network of passenger transport. When these fail, the
other 32% of the airports cannot take over, and the entire network falls.

In this table you can see the top 5 MMPA by UK airlines. The airlines: British Airways, EasyJet UK,
Virgin Atlantic Airways, Tui Airways UK and Jet2.com.
These are the UK's largest airlines, already making up 84% of the entire UK MMPA. These airlines are
therefore very important for the UK, when they fail or there is an incident, the other 20% with
airlines cannot absorb this and it will have consequences.
