, General outline
Purpose
The work group and PC lab sessions are the core of this course. They help
you achieve most of the learning goals and prepare for the exam as well as
for subsequent courses and with writing your thesis. Attending the lectures
and studying the mandatory material support you in preparing, discussing,
and solving the cases in the work group and PC lab sessions.
Format
In general, the work group sessions are structured as follows.
Before each session:
You prepare each research case by yourself or with fellow students.
Preparation consists of studying the lecture slides, your notes, and
the mandatory literature. You further read the cases and answer the
questions under "Part 1: Answers to be prepared before session" for
each research case.
During each session:
You actively participate in a plenary discussion of the answers to Part
1.
You answer the questions under "Part 2: Answers to be prepared
during session" for each research case in a subgroup of
approximately four students (formed during each work group
session).
You actively participate in a plenary discussion of the answers to Part
2.
