1. Content Failures
a. Audience: The current website does not present a clear and well organized
landing page that the audience will expect. It falls short in addressing specific
needs of cat and dog owners. Specifically, for cat owners, it lacks detailed
guides on feeding cats of different types and different diets, and instead only
includes age based instructions. For dogs, it fails to provide information on the
changing activity needs for puppies as they grow into adult dogs. It also doesn’t
promote any quality dog toys that can be used to exercise them.
b. Stakeholders: The current website does not effectively communicate the
purpose and the mission of the stakeholders. There needs to be consistent
branding across each page, but currently the logo only appears once.
Additionally, the values of the company aren’t clearly stated, failing to convey
their mission. Stakeholders want to encourage users to reach out and schedule
appointments and consultations, but the website doesn’t have any instructions
on how to get in touch. Lastly, the website is missing key terms and phrases that
affect SEO such as “new pet consultation” and “new pet care consultation”,
which hinders the stakeholders ability to get the website promoted on search
engine results.
