Instructions for completing Part 3 of the Portfolio
Please use the template for writing a research proposal provided in Part 3 for this part of
the portfolio.
Research questions
Choose ONE of the following three research questions to write a research proposal on:
Question 1: Quantitative Research Proposal
Are there differences between HMEMS80 students from various departments regarding
their use of artificial intelligence and the levels of plagiarism?
OR
Question 2: Quantitative Research Proposal
Is there a statistically significant relationship between the use of artificial intelligence tools
and students’ level of plagiarism in the HMEMS80 module?
OR
Question 3: Qualitative Research Proposal
What are the perceptions of HMEMS80 students on the benefits and challenges of
artificial intelligence tools in research?
The context for all three of the above questions:
You can assume that you have access to a population of (N = 2450) registered HMEMS80
students from various departments (Business management; Industrial and organisational
psychology; Public administration).
Articles
Use at least five of the following articles to write the literature review (background,
variables, previous research and problem statement) sections of the proposal. Also, do a
further search to find 2 or 3 additional relevant, recent scientific sources to use for your
literature review and reference list.
