21 Purpose
The purpose of this module is to formulate the investment setting and managementprocess, identify the
organization and functioning of the securities markets, develop investment theory, assess investments
through time value of money and evaluate the valuation principles and practices.
22 Outcomes
On completion of this module, you should be able to
* Formulate the investment setting and the risk and return concepts within the investment
managementprocess.
Identify the organisation and functioning of the securities market.
Evaluate and process the development of the different investment theories.
Evaluate investments in terms of time value of money.
Distinguish and formulate the different valuation principles and practices.
