Writing Section 5
➔ Some people believe that university students should be required to
attend classes. Others believe that going to classes should be
optional. Which point do you agree with? Use specific reasons and
details to explain your answer.
Going to university is a coveted goal for most students around the world.
Many parents dream of their children having the opportunity to receive a
university education, as a gateway to a successful future. Although it is
strongly accepted that a degree can be granted without attending any physical
classes, In my point of view, I highly claim that attendance plays a vital role in
the university experience.
First of all, in order for students to become more satisfied, attending university
enables students to make friends and relationships, some of which last for a
life-time. To put it in another way, having a close friend during the university
years is a greatly meaningful advantage not only to attending classes but to
studying and partying together. Moreover, teenages who leave their home to
be physically present at university lessons have the unique opportunity to
stand on their own two feet. To be more specific, they learn how to cook
themselves, to do their own laundry to name just a few. As a result, not only
do they become more mature, but they are better prepared for their future
lives as well. Needless to say, they are capable of managing their own
financial budget and maybe by acquiring indepence by finding a part time job
for example.
