Chemotherapy Complications Monitor temp and WBC count -- fever greater than 37.8 C (100 F) should be
reported.
Monitor skin and mucous membranes for infection.
Cultures should be obtained prior to initiating antimicrobial therapy.
If WBC count drops below 1000/uL, place client in a private room and initiate
neutropenic precautions.
