Learning Objective(s):
Students will understand why the Crystal palace was commissioned. They will understand
about the World’s Fair and what it means to history. They will be able to compare the
designs of their own Crystal Palaces to their peers and discuss the similarities and
differences. Students will learn about the monarchy and how it shaped the events of the
World’s Fair and the construction of everything for the Fair.

Smart board, Slides
Textbook
Drawing paper,pencils
Technology
Students will view slides of the World’s Fair. They will view slides of the Crystal Palace and
it’s construction.
