, Part One: Working Style
1. My personal 5 Dynamics report showed interesting results regarding my
working style. According to my report results, the Examine and Explore dynamics are
the most balanced. However, the Excite and Execute elements are present; they just
take a little more focus for me. I found it interesting that my stronger dynamics, Explore
and Excite, both scored as Effortless and my weaker dynamics, Excite and Execute,
scored as Deliberate.
According to my results, both the Explore and Examine dynamics are effortless
and used frequently by me. This means that I prefer facts as a part of the big picture,
studying by myself with a deadline is preferred over other study methods, knowing
“why” helps me to learn and better retain information, and I will retain these items better
if they are based on fact.
According to the report, the Excite and Execute dynamics have to be more
deliberately used by me, and I do use them sometimes. This means that I can choose to
learn in action-oriented or formal/ structured learning settings but they are not my best
learning environments. These are harder for me and I have to put in conscious effort to
make these happen successfully.
2. Two of my strengths are learning independently and the ability to anticipate
issues or problems that may arise on an ongoing basis. Two of my challenges are the
extra energy I have to expend to “relate to people on an ongoing or long-term basis”
and I have issues with delegation.
