Computer - Answer: A programmable machine that accepts data (input), performs

and/or stores (storage) the results of these operations.
Data - Answer: A collection of facts, figures, or information that can be numbers, words,
images, or other representations of things.
Handheld computer - Answer: A portable computer that is small enough to fit in a
person's had or pocket - includes mobile phones, ipods, etc.
Hardware - Answer: The physical equipment that makes up the computer.
Input - Answer: To put information (data) into the computer, usually with a mouse or
keyboard.
Output - Answer: Information is displayed on a computer's monitor or printer.
Processing - Answer: Input information is transformed using math and logic into a
usable format.
Software - Answer: The set of instructions stored inside of the computer that tell it how
to work with the hardware.
Storage - Answer: Processed information is stored on the computer's hard drive.
