Direct Speech (Quoted Speech)
Definition: Reporting the speaker's words exactly as spoken, using quotation marks.
Example: Maya said, "I am busy now."
Indirect Speech (Reported Speech)
Definition: Reporting the substance or meaning of what was said, without using the exact words, often
with tense and pronoun shifts.
Example: Maya said that she was busy then.
