I do not think that the South African curriculum, specifically the Curriculum and
Assessment Policy Statement (CAPS), fully caters to the needs of all students, as it
often fails to accommodate diverse learning abilities and backgrounds, leading to

prescriptive structure, which limits teachers' flexibility to adapt lessons for individual
