STARBUCKS BARISTA INTERVIEW QUESTIONS
Why do you want to be a barista ? - Answer -I want to work in a customer-facing role
where I get the opportunity to make a positive difference to people's day. While also
creating a great cup of coffee and providing excellent customer service.
Why do you want to work at Starbucks ? - Answer -I am interested in working for
Starbucks because I have never had experience in any of their coffee houses. The crew
members are always kind and helpful and the stores are generally well organized and
well clean. But what I like most is the neighborly and communal atmosphere of the
store. It's very welcoming and open, overall I enjoy being here.
Tell us about your previous work history ? - Answer -I used to work at America's Cup
mainly working the cash register,I was also responsible Maintaining a sanitary work
station, and, assisting customers any way that I could such as dealing with complains
main product issues. but I was also given a small handful of other tasks such as:
Moping, wiping down table, refilling & clean the frozen yogurt machine, etc .
I also worked at the Orange County Fair as a game attendent providing customer
assistance like handling returns & exchanges if the product was defective and ensuring
that our work area was clean.
How would you deal with a difficult customer ? - Answer -I would ask how I could help
and, actively listen, then try to come up with a solution that would cater to their needs.
Tell us about a time you went above and beyond for a customer ? - Answer -Their was
this one time where a kid came to the store and he wanted to buy some froze n yogurt
but he didn't have enough and the way that we determined how much something costs
depended on how much it weighs. So he didn't have to over for frozen your get so "I
said hey it's on the house don't worry about it" and once he left I proved to pay for it
myself that way they're won't be any complications .
Whats your biggest concern working here ? - Answer -The biggest concern I have
working here is being able to balance work and school but I'm sure I could get by
managing my time and by planning and organizing my day.
Describe yourself - Answer -I would describe myself as being very optimistic, and
social. I like working in an enviroment where there are lots of people, and I'm always
willing to push myself outside my own comfort zone.
What do you do for the community ? - Answer -I use to do lot of volunteer work at
S.O.Y. and I cleaned and helped out whenever I could by vacuuming, cleaning table,
help set up if they were doing an event, stuff like that. I also volunteered for local food
drives whenever soy would go out to particapate in the food drive.
