Draft the vesting clauses for the transferees as required by the Deeds Registries
Act 47 of 1937 and regulations.
(a) A partnership where at least one partner is married in community of property
*“ABC Traders, a partnership consisting of:
1. John Peter Smith, Identity Number 750101 5034 08 7, married in community of
property to Mary Anne Smith; and
2. David Michael Jones, Identity Number 800505 6045 08 1, unmarried;
conducting business at 45 Main Street, Johannesburg, Gauteng Province.”
This complies with Regulation 18 of the Deeds Registries Act requiring full names,
identity numbers, marital status, and, if married, the applicable matrimonial property
system (Deeds Registries Act 47 of 1937, s. 15 & Reg. 18).
(b) A person who does not have a valid identity document
“Peter Andrew Brown, Passport Number A1234567, issued by the Government of the
United Kingdom, unmarried, residing at 12 Park Lane, Cape Town, Western Cape
Province.”
