1. Overview of the Selected SDGs
SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being
This goal focuses on ensuring that people of all ages can live healthy lives and enjoy
well-being. It covers key areas such as reducing child and maternal mortality, combating
both communicable and non-communicable diseases, improving mental health care,
addressing substance abuse, reducing injuries from road accidents, and ensuring
access to quality health services for all (UNDP, 2021).
SDG 13: Climate Action
This goal promotes urgent efforts to address climate change and its widespread effects.
It calls for the incorporation of climate-related policies in national strategies, increased
public awareness, education on environmental issues, and stronger international
partnerships to address global warming and its consequences (UN, 2015).
2. Rationale for Selecting These Goals
I selected SDG 3 because health is essential for individuals to thrive and contribute to
society. The COVID-19 pandemic exposed weaknesses in healthcare systems
worldwide, especially regarding access, mental health services, and the need for
resilient public health infrastructure. It also showed how important timely and reliable
health communication is.
I chose SDG 13 because climate change is one of the most pressing challenges of our
time. Events such as droughts, floods, and extreme weather conditions are having
