Arrival and Departure of Senior Officers - Answer-o Announcing Senior Officers for arrival or departure
of O-5 and above is a professional courtesy that should be performed properly
o Announce the official's short title and whether arriving or departing
o If the title of the approaching senior officer is unknown, ring the correct number of bells and announce
the rank and service of the officer
Captain in the US CG whose title is unknown would be "Captain, United States Coast Guard Arriving
o When in doubt ask the arriving/departing officer

or dislocated bones, deep cuts, torn members of the body, serous damage to internal organs
Deadly Force Triangle Definition 1 - Answer-o Capability- The means to inflict death or serious bodily
harm, or ability to place explosives on vital assets or High Value Assets (HVA).
Example: Someone has weapons in their possession
Deadly Force Triangle Definition 2 - Answer-o Opportunity- Established when a weapon or device is in
effective range to cause death or serious bodily harm.
Example: Someone with a knife 5 yds away is just as capable of killing you as someone with a 9
millimeter
Deadly Force Traingle Definition 3 - Answer-o Intent- Demonstrated through aggressive actions or lack
of compliance; the desire or willingness to cause death.
Example: Someone physically or verbally saying that they are going to kill you.
