Scope - Answer-For the purposes of this chapter, the terms defined in this part have meanings given
them unless their context clearly requires otherwise
Accommodate or to be accomodated - Answer-The maximum number of students present on the
school premises at any one time and for which the school has the required physical and program
resources. In most cases this will be the maximum number of students
Active license - Answer-A current license that has not expired and is not retired
Advanced exfoliation - Answer-A cosmetic procedure removing epidermal cells through manual
mechanical or chemical means
Advanced extraction - Answer-Extractions performed using lancets or needles
Advertising - Answer-Any written or graphic representation designed to elicit enrollment or the sale of
goods or services and includes signs displays circulars business cards brochures and recruitment
materials in print on air or online
, Basic exfoliation - Answer-Means the removal of dead skin cells in the stratum corners layer of the
epidermis through manual mechanical or chemical means
Basic extraction - Answer-Extractions performed using gloved fingers, cotton swabs or comedone
extractors
