This Progressive Era Reform Project for AP U.S. History explores the social, political, and economic changes during the Progressive Era (1890s-1920s). It includes an overview of key reform movements such as social justice, political reforms (e.g., direct election of senators), and economic reforms (e.g., antitrust laws). The project profiles influential figures like Theodore Roosevelt and Jane Addams and provides case studies on specific reforms, such as the Meat Inspection Act. Finally, it evaluates the era's impact and legacy while incorporating a multimedia presentation to illustrate key points.

,Revolt of the Intellectuals
With the role of muckraking journalist and intellectuals with
regard to shape the progressive order, before the period of
Theodore Roosevelt & his presidency. The people in the United
States thought ways to adjust to the massive changes that came
about due to immigration, urbanization, and the rapid
industrialization of the country.
Factors such as class rank, media, big business, ministers,
strikes, railroads, passing of acts, and more led to the creation of
new ways in economic & political life. Those who saw, & or
believed in the working ideas were what presented the shape of
the country. 19.1

, Utopian Idealists
As America began to change, the rules that were once more so
lenient were to change. Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft, and
Woodrow Wilson were all presidents that recognized the need of
chance & became known as the Progressive Presidents. Utopian
idealists sought to solve the uprise in issues presented by the industry. It
was to were idealistic & impractical communities who drew away from
the sinful, corrupted world to work their miracles, in hopes to imitate
the elect state of affairs that existed among the Apostles. This was to
imagine in the these “Utopias”. Books were written by writers, George,
Bellamy, Ignatius Salami, & other authors that set up these false
depictions. The books romanticized the false life, & gave optimism to
the people, but in reality the world was going the opposite direction
than what the books sought out. 19.1
