, Introduction
Flamenco is a Spanish art form, common of Andalusia, the Southern
region of Spain. The three segments are singing, dancing and guitar playing;
elements being song, dance, and music. Three forms of songs are “Cante
Jondo”, a deep song, “Cante Intermedia”, an intermediate song, and “Cante
Chico”, a light song. The essence of “Cante Jondo” dwells in intermediate or
deep emotions. The style of beat is the oldest form of rhythm. It’s used during
occasions such as death, anguish, despair, or religious doubt. Other forms of
the rhythm are called hybrid and have a simpler rhythm than the other
common forms.
