2.1 Reflection on Formative Assessment
Reflection on Learning in Assignment 01
A. During Assignment 01, I encountered difficulties primarily with referencing, as I had no prior
experience or training in this area. In my previous postgraduate studies, I didn't engage in any
form of formal writing or referencing, making it a significant challenge to grasp the proper way
of doing APA referencing.
B. This course has been highly beneficial in helping me identify and correct my mistakes,
particularly with referencing. I realized that mastering APA formatting was a challenge for me.
To address these issues, I reviewed the study materials from week 4, which provided guidance on
the correct approach to referencing. Moving forward, I plan to allocate more time to assignments
that involve referencing to ensure that I handle it more effectively, understanding that it requires
significant effort and attention when done for the first time.
Reflection on Learning in Assignment 02
C. My performance in Assignment 2 improved because I allowed myself more time to prepare
compared to the first assignment. Although I didn't face major difficulties, I did repeat the same
referencing errors in questions 14 and 29 due to misreading. Additionally, I struggled with
selecting the correct answer for questions 9 and 36, which caused some confusion.
