1 INTRODUCTION
Assessment 2 is linked to module HLT3701 Home Language Teaching. It is a compulsory
formative assessment consisting of long and short questions. The assessment will help you
to understand the concepts, content, and approaches relating to teaching home language
skills to young children. You have to read the study guide for HLT3701 before you start
writing the assessment.
The total mark for this assessment is 100. It contributes 10% towards your year-end mark.
The opening and closing date for Assessment 2 will be communicated on the myUnisa
module site. You have to upload a single file. Ensure that your file is saved as a PDF. Do
not password-protect your assessment. No marks will be assigned if you have uploaded an
incorrect file. Therefore, ensure that you submit the correct assessment. Submit your
assessment before the due date to avoid a late submission. Late submissions will not be
accepted. E-mailed submissions will also not be allowed. Plagiarism of any sort will not be
tolerated.
Remember to attach Addendum A (Student Declaration Form) to your Assessment 2.
