You have applied for a physical educator position at a school and then invited to
be interviewed for the position. In the interview, you are asked to talk about
your high-level objectives for developing a physical education programme. Write
down, in you own words, how you would answer this question.
My overarching goal as a physical educator is to encourage all kids to have healthy, active lives. I
think that teaching pupils how to play sports or exercise is only a small part of what physical
education is all about; it should also establish a lifetime enthusiasm for physical activity and its
advantages.
To meet this goal, I would concentrate on creating a complete physical education curriculum that
includes team sports, individual activities, games, fitness training, and health education, among
other activities and teaching methods. Regardless of a student's skill level or interests, my
programme would try to satisfy their demands.
A safe and encouraging atmosphere that encourages student engagement and participation would
be another crucial goal. This entails not just giving students the proper tools and resources, but also
fostering positive connections with them, encouraging cooperation, and fostering a development
mentality.
Overall, my goal as a physical educator is to instil a passion for exercise and equip kids with the
information and abilities, they need to lead active, healthy lives.
