Any informaton inside a business can foo betoeen diferent departments and the informaton can
also foo doonoards, upoards, or across If for instance, the informaton is foo upoards then this
oill therefore mean that the oorkers at the botom oill provide data to the higher levels such as the
research department, this department oill then turn that data into sales to see hoo many products
are selling and ohat is selling faster than others If the informaton is to foo doonoards, then this
means that the higher levels of the company oill be giving it too looer levels If, hooever, the
informaton is to foo across, then this therefore means that the departments oill be sharing
informaton oith one another This also alloos informaton to be passed among employees in the
same department or it can also betoeen departments on the ‘hierarchical’ level

Internal Flows to External Bodies

Most often, a business can give informaton to other businesses and organisatons The Business oill
have to communicate oith all the suppliers and for example, the purchasing department oill be able
to give the businesses informaton on suppliers about a certain stock that they oant ordering
