1. How to use this pack
What this pack is: a fully ORIGINAL set of exam-style questions with complete worked answers and
calculations, covering the same topic areas and difficulty as typical TRL3706 exam questions
(regulation, cost structures, vehicle costing, capacity, scheduling, vehicle technology, tariffs, the
market and service quality). Every question was written from scratch; none is taken from Unisa exam
papers.
Typical TRL3706 format (check your current tutorial letter / myUnisa): long questions with sub-
questions carrying 2–25 marks each (theory plus calculations), often built around a short scenario,
sometimes with an MCQ component. Confirm the current year's format and submission rules on
myUnisa.
How to use it: (1) Do Section A MCQs to test your theory. (2) Attempt each Section B question with
workings before checking the model answer. (3) Calculations: copy the method, then redo them with
your own numbers. (4) Revise from the appendix.
Study material: TRL3706 content is based on the module’s prescribed study material (see your
tutorial letter). This pack is aligned to the module purpose: understanding the road transport
industry and the main management issues of a road transport enterprise, and refers to South African
legislation and practice.
