This assessment consists of NINE (9) pages.
Important to note:
1. This assessment consists of THREE (3) questions.
2. All questions must be answered, and basic calculations, where applicable, must be shown.
3. Each question attempted must commence on a new (separate) page.
4. Remember to complete and adhere to the Honesty Declaration.
5. Students must upload their answer scripts on moodle in a single PDF file (answer scripts
must not be password protected or uploaded as “read only” files).
6. NO e-mailed scripts will be accepted.
7. Students are advised to preview submissions (answer scripts) to ensure legibility and that
the correct answer script file has been uploaded.
8. Incorrect file format and uncollated answer scripts will not be considered.
9. Incorrect answer scripts and/or submissions made on unofficial platforms will not be marked
and no opportunity will be granted for resubmission.
10. A mark awarded for an incomplete submission will be the student’s final mark. No opportunity
for resubmission will be granted.
11. A mark awarded for illegible scanned submission will be the student’s final mark. No
opportunity for resubmission will be granted.
12. Submissions will only be accepted from registered student accounts.
13. Students who have not utilized invigilation or proctoring tools will be deemed to have
transgressed Unisa’s assessment rules and will have their marks withheld.
14. Students suspected of dishonest conduct will be subjected to disciplinary processes. Unisa
has a zero tolerance for plagiarism and/or any other forms of academic dishonesty.
15. Students suspected of dishonest conduct during the assessment will be subjected to
disciplinary processes. Students may not communicate with other students or request
assistance from other students during assessments. Plagiarism is a violation of academic

integrity, and students who do plagiarize or copy verbatim from published work will be in
violation of the Policy on Academic Integrity and the Student Disciplinary Code and may be
referred to a disciplinary hearing. Unisa has zero tolerance for plagiarism and/or any other
forms of academic dishonesty.
16. Listening to audio (music) and utilizing audio-to-text software is strictly prohibited during your
assessment unless use of the software is related to a student’s assisted device which has been
declared. Listening to music, utilizing such software and/or failing to declare the software is a
transgression of Unisa’s assessment rules and the student's marks will be withheld.
17. Submissions made after the official assessment time will be rejected and will not be marked.
18. Students experiencing network or load shedding challenges should make alternative
arrangements.
19. Non-adherence to the processes for uploading assessment solutions will not qualify the student
for any special concessions or future assessments.
20. Queries that are beyond Unisa’s control include the following:
a. Personal network or service provider issues
b. Load shedding/limited space on personal computer
c. Crashed computer
d. Using work computers that block access to the moodle site (work firewall challenges)
e. Unlicensed software (e.g., license expires during exams)
21. Students need to make alternative arrangements for the above issues. Students unable to
submit will need to continue with assessment 4 as this is a continuous assessment module. No
aegrotat opportunity is available.
22. The QR code for the assessment is included below. Please scan this code upon
commencement of the assessment:
23. Please direct any queries or issues relating to the Invigilator App to the technical helpdesk via
WhatsApp on 073 505 8273. The lecturing team cannot assist you with any queries in this
