At our facility, in the hospice setting, the night on call shift has access to all files in our Devaro system. I discovered that some of our LPNs were checking on patients they were not assigned to on that night but had been assigned in the past. They wanted to know how the patient was doing. On the night shift we do not get a daily report of the current events of the days past and a patient we have been sitting crisis care could have expired and we were not notified.
