DFW SIDA TRAINING REVIEW SOLUTION GUIDE Air Operations Area (AOA) Non-Sterile - Any public locations outside of the passenger screening checkpoints. Examples are: the baggage claim areas and the ticket counter areas. Secured areas - Portions of the airport, specified in the Airport Security Program, in which certain security measures specified in 49 CFR Part 1542 are carried out. The AOA or "Ramp" and adjacent baggage processing areas are considered these areas. Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) - A portion of the airport, specified in the Airport Security Program, in which security measures specified in 49 CFR Part 1450 are carried out. This area includes the Secured area and the AOA. Sterile area - The portion of an airport terminal accessible to the travelling public that is controlled through the screening of persons and property and provides passengers access to boarding aircraft.
