Superiority of the Aryan Race
The people who made up the German Volk were Aryans & a master race to
which all other races should be subordinated:
Hierarchy of races, in which Jews were the lowest.
Those actually living on the land ('Blut und Boden) were the purest Aryans.
Included other principles:
- the Volksgmeienschaft: the idea that racially superior Aryans should form a
tightly-knit community, in which class divisions & interests of individuals
would be subordinate to those of the nation.
- anti-Semitism: the belief that it was necessary to rid the state of Jews for it to
be racially pure & successful (associated with the persecution of other non-
Aryans & 'socially undesirables').
- anti-feminism: the belief that the woman's role was limited to being the
bearer of future Aryans.
- Lebensraum: the belief that the superior Aryan race was entitled to 'living
space' at the expense of lesser races = primarily directed against the Slav races
in Eastern Europe.
