In the instance of the database I have designed, the user can view the one doctor at a time. If the user chooses to, they can perform any of the aforementioned tasks using the built-in data controls of Access. Forms can be designed in many ways, if we needed to we could add control buttons to control the data such as a next record or previous record, add record, delete record etc. A combo box could be used instead to select the doctor of whom we wanted to view. The forms I created are both bound and unbound. The initial form that loads immediately when the database launces is an example of an unbound form. (EASTON, 2019, Pg. 28) An unbound form does not have any ties to a specific table, instead the form is a way to control different aspects of the database. The Switchboard form makes it easy for the user to view doctor appointment, create a new appointment, and links the user to a patient reminder for a specific person, making it easier to call the patient to remind them of their upcoming appointment.
