-ONCE THE ASSIGNMENTS ARE SUBMITTED BY THE DEADLINE, GRADING WILL BE
COMPLETED WITHIN A WEEK. IF I AM BEHIND IN GRADING I WILL POST AN
ANNOUNCEMENT. ONCE GRADES AR POSTED I WILL POST AN ANNOUNCEMENT LETTING
YOU KNOW I AM DONE GRADING,
I WOULD PREFER IF YOU WAIT UNTIL I AM DONE GRADING BEFORE QUESTIONING THE

Course Description
As described in the course catalog, In-depth study of courtship, marriage, and related
processes focusing on problematic aspects of these institutions from the sociological
perspective.
Course material includes information which may be considered controversial and sensitive. Some of
film, readings, topics and discussions may be considered graphic, disturbing and possibly depressin
Films which may be defined as graphic by some audiences may be shown in this course. You are sti
responsible for the assignments connected to the course material and films even if they are conside
sensitive and graphic. There are no “alternate” assignments. Every student has the same assignme

Even though social issues/problems may be negative, upsetting and disturbing at times, we will ma
every attempt to discuss positive aspects of social change and possible solutions which provide hop
