The following hypotheses’ will be tested applying an a = 0.05 and a confidence interval
of 99%.
Claim #1: Mean sales per week exceed 42.5 per salesperson.
, Hypothesis Testing:
Claim: m > 42.5 Sample mean: 45.7647
H0: m ≤ 42.5 Sample 7.5166

In this assessment, the null hypothesis is not the claim. The claim is represented by the
alternative hypothesis. And based on the hypothesis test, there is sufficient evidence to support
the claim that the average sales per week exceeds 42.5.
Confidence Interval:
We are 99% confident that the true mean sales per week are between 43.81 and 47.72
sales per week.
Conclusion:
The claim is supported by the hypothesis testing calculations. This claim that the mean
sales per week per salesperson exceeds 42.5 is further supported by the lower and upper limits
calculated by the confidence interval calculations, which are 43.81 and 47.72 sales per week per
salesperson. This indicates that at a minimum, there are 43.81 sales per week per salesperson.
Claim #2: Proportion receiving online training is less than 55%.
