Ethical - ANSWER Conforming to an established set of principles or accepted professional standards of conduct. Factory - ANSWER A building or set of buildings with facilities for manufacturing or producing goods. Hydraulic - ANSWER Operated by the action of water or other fluids. Impact - ANSWER The effect or influence of one thing on another. Some impacts are anticipated, and others are unanticipated. Limitation - ANSWER Some factor that restricts the scope of activity or accomplishment. Maintenance - ANSWER The upkeep of industrial facilities and equipment and/or software. Manipulators - ANSWER An arm-like mechanism on a robotic system which grabs and moves objects with a number of degrees of freedom under automatic control. Power Supply - ANSWER In robotics, provides power to the robot; may supply electricity, hydraulic power, or pneumatic power. Pneumatic - ANSWER Pertaining to or operated by air or other gas. Programmer - ANSWER A person who writes and tests computer programs. Reprogram - ANSWER The rewriting or revising of a sequence of instructions, especially a computer program. Robot - ANSWER A robot is a machine that performs complicated tasks and is guided by automatic controls. Robotics - ANSWER Technology dealing with the design, construction, and operation of robots in automation. Society - ANSWER A community, nation, or broad grouping of people having common traditions, institutions, and collective activities and interests. Trade-off - ANSWER A balancing of factors, all of which are not attainable at the same time; giving up of one thing in return for another. Troubleshoot - ANSWER The process of locating trouble and making repairs in machinery and technical equipment. Workforce - ANSWER The people available for work in a particular area, firm, or industry. Work Envelope - ANSWER The space within which a robotic arm can move.
