Physical Composition:
The central nervous system or CNS consists of the brain and spinal cord.
The peripheral nervous system or PNS consists of peripheral nerves and
ganglia.
The enteric nervous system or ENS consists of the digestive tract and digestive
glands.
The three types of neurones in the PNS include sensory (afferent), motor
(efferent) and interneurones.
The three types of synapses are neurone-neurone, neuromuscular junctions and
neuroglandular junctions.
