Networking Opportunities Becoming a Scholar-Practitioner Imagine walking into a new hospital every six to ninemonths knowing you will be faced with the toughest patient load daily and a stigma that many travel nurses have, being lazy and overpaid. That was my life for roughly five years. Within those five years I saw advances in medicine, technology, and never ending policy changes due to evidence based practice. The facilities I worked at all had their highs and lows, but mainly I loved the relationships and pertinent networking made between staff members and fellow gypsy nurses. This past year I decided to make a life-changing career change, which would compel me to settle down in Tucson, AZ, working in the Cardio Vascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). Finishing my masters and becoming an Adult- Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) has been a goal of mine and with the help of Walden University and their core values I am on the right path towards my dream career.
