Pressure ulcers are one of the most common issues among elderly patients due to their inability to proper change position while in bed either due to weakness, injury or deteriorating health condition. Proper care put in place will help in the reduction of pressure ulcers among elderly patients because they often never heal or continue to worsen as a result of poor healing wound process among the elderly. Delegating a wound care team to oversee both prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers among hospitalized patients are essential to help reduce occurrence and better improve patient’s outcome
