Certified Contract Management Associate (CCMA) Certification Examination
The Certified Contract Management Associate (CCMA) is an entry-level professional certification offered by the National Contract Management Association (NCMA). It is based on the ANSI-approved Contract Management Standard™ (CMS) and is designed to verify that new professionals and decision-makers possess the foundational knowledge required to practice contract management . The certification serves as a stepping stone toward higher-level NCMA credentials and is intended for individuals with a four-year degree and less than one year of contract management experience, or buyers and sellers with at least one year of experience but no degree . Eligibility requires either a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution OR one year of work experience in contract management or a related field, plus a minimum of 40 CPE/CLP hours . The examination is scheduled through Kryterion testing centers, and approved candidates have one year and three attempts to pass . Important note: The legacy CCMA application window closes on March 31, 2026, after which candidates must transition to the new Commercial and Contract Management Associate (CCMA™) certification offered jointly by NCMA and WorldCC, which is aligned with CMS 4th edition
