Human Resources Management
Introduction
In the case study A.P. Moller-Maersk Group, the company was experiencing high
turnover rates which forced the company to begin to look into reevaluating their business
approach as a company which began with the human resources department. Employees are the
foundation of companies, which is why human resource management is so critical to all
businesses. Human resource management plays a huge role in many different processes that
align with the company’s strategic plans and values, some examples include global
conditions, recruiting, training, performance management, performance appraisals, benefits,
and so much more. Aligning the company’s strategic plans with the human resources
department is essential, so they can look into the skill sets, knowledge, and experience
employees will need to ensure they are going into the right roles within the company. Making
sure employees are going into the right roles is a huge part of business success and self-driven
motivation, while also improving retention.

organization's goals. For example, if employees dread going to work daily, then they are not
going to help set the company up for success in achieving their goals. To make sure
employees are striving to help the company achieve its goals then HR needs to align their
strategies with the organization's goals to help the company hire the right people for the right
