1.1 Explain how this project aligns with the municipality’s strategic objectives. (3)
The project aligns with the municipality’s strategic objectives by improving the reliability,
safety and quality of municipal infrastructure and services. Electrical rewiring can
reduce electrical faults, improve safety and ensure that municipal facilities comply with
relevant standards and requirements. The project also supports efficient use of
municipal resources and contributes to the municipality's objective of providing
sustainable and effective services to the community.
1.2 Identify one suitable project selection method and justify why it should be
used in this case. (3)
A suitable method is cost-benefit analysis. This method compares the expected costs
of the project with the benefits that will be achieved, such as improved electrical safety,
reduced maintenance costs, fewer interruptions and better service delivery. It is
appropriate for a municipality because public funds are limited and projects should
demonstrate sufficient benefits to justify the expenditure.

2.1 Recommend an appropriate organisational structure for managing this

A matrix organisational structure would be appropriate for the project. In a matrix
structure, the project manager coordinates the project while employees from different
