Electrical Circuits
1.1 Electrical Circuit Identification
1.1.1 Definition of an Electrical Circuit
An electrical circuit is a closed path through which electric current flows from a power source,
through electrical components, and back to the source.
For current to flow:
The circuit must be complete (closed).
There must be a source of electrical energy.
Simple Electrical Circuit
A simple circuit normally contains:
1. Power source (battery)
2. Conductors (wires)
3. Load (lamp, resistor, motor)
4. Control device (switch)
