Training Plan
A1.
Safety violations have been observed by OSHA. Based on the nature of the violations, Alliah
Construction has determined to implement trainig to improve safety and hopefully reduce
the financial impacts on Worker’s Compensation insurance.
A2.
The goal of this training plan is to reduce future workplace accidents. We want to provide
employees with the knowledge and skills to complete the jobs safely which will ultimately
contribute to the team’s success.
A3.
Objectives for this training will include:
• Increase availability of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Communicate to
supervisors the locations of PPE and how to report PPE needs.
• Provide improved instructions on when and where to use PPE.
• Review the new and improved reporting processes for any workplace incidents for
management to review and implement corrective actions to reduce or eliminate
reoccurrence.

Current skill gaps for supervisors include:
• Supervisors were not enforcing the use of safety equipment by employees.
o Eye protection should be worn by all employees.
o Hearing protection should be in use when there are excessive levels of noise
present.
o Fall protection systems were not in use.
• Equipment was not geared with the proper safetly equpment, such as a radial arm
saw with no blade guard.
• Safety equipment was not made available at the work sites for all employees on site.
• Reporting and paperwork for workplace accidents was delayed and incomplete.
