The five-item quiz I created assesses students' ongoing knowledge of the module on
Social Determinants of Health (SDOH). The quiz will be given in the middle of learning the
module. Question one aligns with course objectives one and two as it promotes students'
knowledge of the social determinants of health and how they affect access to healthcare by
asking students to identify the components of SDOH. Students also need to identify subjects that
can affect access to healthcare due to the SDOH. Both items on the quiz are formulated using the
level of creation in the cognitive domain of Bloom's taxonomy. Question three aligns with
student learning outcome two, in which students will be able to explain the importance of health
equity throughout the community. The item assesses students' knowledge of why the community
nurse needs to promote health equity. This item is formulated using the level of understanding in
the cognitive domain of Bloom's taxonomy. Question four aligns with student learning outcome
one, which is that students will be able to recognize health risks based on SDOH. The question
offers multiple risk factors of SDOH for the student to identify. The item is formulated using
Bloom’s level of remembering in the cognitive domain. Lastly, question five aligns with course
objective two, which is that students will be able to evaluate strategies addressing SDOH in
healthcare practice. The question offers interventions for the community health nurse to
implement to promote health equity. The item is formulated using Bloom's taxonomy level
evaluation in the cognitive domain.
